Flowers I Love is a sculptural garment made from green floral cotton. The garment proportions and parts are built as a 3D collage and not designed directly for the body. I used traditional tailoring techniques to construct the piece with hand embroidery and beading. I am thinking about uniform and uniformity of bodies. How do institutions design an ideal body model? How does the Israeli soldier model shape me and my surroundings?  What is the relation between global and local models?

Every detail of a garment is an information site of ideology that affects our bodies in space. The army uniform is a symbol of a specific body, it resembles masculinity, gender role and masochism. I use the uniform visual language — camouflage, functionality, tailoring etc. Then I deconstruct the shape, details and the method of making to find variability in the rigid symbols and to re-purpose the functional object. I think about hierarchies, structures and how they are embodied in everyday objects — the garment parts, haberdashery and decorations. I reconstruct the system of the garment and redefine the matter of the units.
